Here's the deal everybody.
Sufjan Stevens is already one of my favorite artists of all time. I am a huge supporter of his and try to turn new people on to his albums any chance I get.
Recently, I've been combing the internets in search of all of his rarities. These include B-Sides, compilations tracks, out of print material, etc.
As of now, I think that i've compiled almost all of them. If you can think of any not on this mix, please let me know and email them to me so that i can update this fairly frequently. I realized a few minutes ago that i forgot to include the 5 bonus tracks from the vinyl release of "Michigan". So, look for an update to this site next week containing those songs as a companion piece to this post.
Otherwise, i think i've got just about all of them. I compiled them into 1 downloadable album. I took the tags off of each song and relabeled them as an album called "Rarities" so that you can just load it into your iPod and have it all in one place.
A couple notes:
1. Feel free to repost this anywhere you want. I'd just appreciate if you gave a link to my page.
2. I've posted a lot of music on here lately. My hit counter is going off the charts, and it looks like a lot of people are getting music that i post here. HOWEVER, I'm getting little to no comments or thank yous in my comments section. If you appreciate what I have done for you here today, please drop me a line and let me know what you think, etc.
Here comes the music....
Tracklist
1. I Can't Even Lift My Head
2. Woman at the Well
3. The First Full Moon
4. What Goes On
5. Opie's Funeral Song
6. God'll Ne'er Let You Down
7. She Is
8. The Lord God Bird
9. The One I Love
10. Variation on Commemorative Transfiguration and Communion at Magruder Park
11. The Avalanche
12. Borderline
13. Bushwick Junkie
14. All Delightful People
15. Damascus
Enjoy everybody!!!
Thanks for the Sufjan! I too am a fan of this amazing talent. As soon as I heard Illinois I knew I was hearing the album of the year. I was fortunate enough to see him in Somerville, MA this past fall (with the fantastic Laura Veirs opening). I had some of the stuff you posted but it's nice to have it in one tidy package. Please let me know when the extra Michigan stuff gets posted.
Have a great year,
Vaughn

Nice collection of rareties. It'd be nice to have details on the original sources for these though, just in case I, or someone else, wanted to buy the full CDs. But thanks all the same!

Thanks a bunch for these! I was just about to buy the vinyl versions of Michigan and Illinois, but you saved me about $25. I posted links to the files and your website on my music blog (http://notesareshattered.blogspot.com) as well as MuchMusic.net, the latter of which gets a ton of hits.

I really really really need these. The RapidShare link no longer works. Everywhere I have found that says they have them turns out to be a link to RapidShare. If anyone knows a current working location to get these, I will love you forever.
