This one is for you. You know who you are.
When i was around 16, i worshipped Low. I still like them, but the love has died a little. "Long Division" and "The Curtain Hits the Cast" are two albums that are hard to top.
This is their latest. They went faster/more electric on this one. Personally, I don't think it works. But their are still some killer tracks on it.
One of the best band names in rock history.
One of the best album titles in rock history.
Great band in general, but definitely an acquired taste. They're a very influential noise-based grindcore band. If that sounds like your cup of tea, go get it.
It's also cool to have them in your ipod. Because then, when friends and family scroll through your library to see what you have, they will at some point see the words "ANAL CUNT". I love that.
Sufjan's first "great" album.
Check the parent directory for the Illinois album as well.
Sufjan Stevens: "Greeting from Michigan, the Great Lake State"
This is probably my favorite MF's album. As far as everything that Merritt has ever released, the title probably goes to "Wasp's Nest". But as far as just this one project goes, i don't think it gets any better than this. "Famous" is one of the best album openers ever.
I personally think that if you're already buying 2 CDs worth of the Clash, you might as well just go out and buy their first 3 albums instead. That's just my opinion.
I guess this is a good starting point for people who haven't gotten into them yet.
The Clash: "The Story of the Clash Vol. 1" (CD 1)
The Clash: "The Story of the Clash Vol. 1" (CD 2)
Here's one of those bands i keep meaning to try out, but just haven't gotten around to. Any opinions? Any words of advice on discovering their material?
Great album.
Get it.

I love NYC (i've lived within a half hour of it my whole life). But I have to admit, these ads promoting Philadelphia as a cheaper alternative are right on the money. These ad execs are actually quite clever.
Make sure you keep scrolling down in order to see all of them...
