Hello all.
This is just a quick line to let you all know that within the next few days my blog will be no more. There isn't too much reason for this, other than the fact that i'm just not all that into it anymore. But, here are a couple more reasons....
1. I just bought a condo and really need to cut back on money. The fact of the matter is that the apprx. $70 i spend a year on this blog could go to much better places, such as a full DirectTV bill.
2. My job just fucked me on my raise. They are now only giving raises to all employees at year's end. So, instead of receiving more cash on my 1 year anniversary (August 15th), i'm now going to have to wait until January 1st.
3. I originally intended this blog to be more about my opinions than just giving away free music. But, alas, i'm not a consistant writer. I rarely, if ever, give an actual post that revolves around pure writing. The world has an infinite number of free music blogs, and i feel mine is just another in the bunch.
4. I get all my posts from other websites and then just repost the best of the crop. You can easily find all the same stuff i post by visiting these particular blogs:
a. www.skafunkrastapunk.com/forum
b. indiesurfer.blogspot.com
c. www.kingblind.com
d. opendir.blogspot.com
5. I'm lazy. I'd rather spend my time doing nothing at all.
So thank you to everybody who's been stopping by...120,000 of you in the past 8 months to be exact. I hope you all visit the many other sites that are out there like mine.
And remember, you should never feel guilty about getting music for free. All the money that is made by record sales goes straight to the big record companies. You're average band only recieves about 70 cents per CD sold. Then they have to split that scrap 4 ways. Do the math.
If you want to support the artists you love, be sure to go see them live when they hit your city. And definitely be sure to spend some of your hard earned cash on their merchandise.
Thank you.
